Frequently asked questions
Parcel comparisons, explained clearly.
Is ShipScanner a courier or booking agent?
No. ShipScanner is an independent information and comparison service. We do not take payment, arrange pickup or manage delivery. Complete any shipment directly with the courier.
Why can the final courier price be different?
A final price can change after the courier confirms measured or volumetric weight, exact address, route serviceability, taxes, fuel surcharge, COD, insurance and handling charges. Always verify the payable amount on the courier’s official channel.
What does “platform estimate” mean?
It is a real-time rate returned by a third-party shipping platform for the parcel details entered. It may be an account-level rate rather than the consumer-retail price available on a courier’s public website.
What does “published tariff” mean?
It is calculated from an official public price table using the applicable route and chargeable-weight rules. The methodology page explains how these results are labelled.
Does the cheapest result always mean the best choice?
No. Compare delivery expectation, service type, source confidence and the courier’s restrictions as well as price. “Best Value” is an informational ranking, not a guarantee or endorsement.
Does ShipScanner receive commission from the couriers shown?
No. ShipScanner does not currently operate an affiliate booking programme. Carrier names are used to identify comparable services and do not imply affiliation.
How can I report an incorrect price or broken link?
Email the route, parcel details and the result you saw to shipscanner@gmail.com. We review source corrections as a priority.
